The Old Bakery, Cobham

A secluded Grade II listed property surrounded by the rolling Surrey countryside. With various extensions added over time, the clients wanted to strip back the modern additions to the original structure, exposing the enchanting, 17th Century listed bakery to the rear.

With refurbishment of the main house, we slowly uncovered the structure of the bakery and, confirming its poor condition, we facilitated the strengthening and re-use of the existing walls and solid timber framework. New materials were sourced to match the original finishes, which included clay roof tiles and drainage systems. With new heritage doors overlooking the gardens, the bakery has been updated to modern standards, establishing the new kitchen and dining area for the family.
